The services which this terminal has to offer are itemized into two different aspects.
The first is how we maintain and operate, in order to provide a secure, clean, and orderly terminal where buses, with franchise routes toward the different municipalities, cities, and provinces all over Mindanao, can be provided with a departing point. The Davao City Overland Transport Terminal through its checkpoint operations likewise regulates and monitors the travel of vans and jeepneys (with routes outside of DavaoCity) from satellite terminals within the City.
The second is through the inception of the Public Assistance Center at the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal, wherein management has been able to offer services for the riding public, which are as follows:
nTo provide the riding public with assistance and information about bus trips, intervals, distances to point of destination, bus fares, tariff for porterage services, etc;
nTo log in arriving buses (point of origin, bus no., time of arrival)for the benefit of querying customers;
nTo determine the need to provide shuttle service for first time passengers arriving in Davao;
nTo advocate tourism for DavaoCity

MISSION
The mission of management of the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT), is to contribute to the revenue generation efforts of the City Government of Davao by providing opportune and competent management decisions and programs that could improve terminal operations, and offer better services for the patronizing public.
Terminal History
The idea of DCOTT was conceived in 1979, planned and designed in 1981 to 1983 which was considered a component project of the Regional Cities Development Program.
Construction of the Terminal commenced in March of 1985 under the supervision of the then Ministry of Public Works and Highways and completed 9 months later, in December 27 of the same year.
It was turned over and accepted by the City Government of Davao by the then City Mayor Elias B. Lopez on March 15, 1986 just a few days after the Edsa Revolution.
DCOTT is also the area where the former Pres. Aquino campaigned for the ratification of the 1987 Constitution, when more than 50,000 people converged from all over Mindanao
